Class Sessions: Run month to month. Example: Jan, Feb, Mar, etc.
           
Class Levels:
            Level 1 - The pace of this class is slower and accessible to everyone. This class is ideal for beginners, bodies over 50 yrs., limited mobility due to injury and/or illness.
            Level 1-2 -The pace of this class is faster and more challenging postures are presented. This class is ideal for those with yoga experience and who are able to do a more challenging class.

$15-Drop-in to any class
$44- 4 classes
$60- 6 classes
$72- 8 classes
$95- monthly unlimited
**Payment is due at the beginning of each month and/or PRIOR to your first class.

About: Yoga is the Hood is a unique yoga experience. Classes are semi-private (the studio holds 10 mats). Instruction is individualized as each person’s body is different with various needs. The room is warm to allow the muscles to relax. Please bring a yoga mat, bottled water, and towel. Yoga mat usage provided for first timers to get acquainted. It's a good idea to contact us before you attend for the first time. Our mission is to provide the best and most up to date information and instruction so your yoga experience is comfortable, safe, and fulfilling. All levels of yoga experience, we welcome you.


Yoga Basics

Yoga Basics Introductory Workshop

This class is an excellent opportunity to become acquainted with yoga basics. This course will familiarize you with yoga so that you feel more confident to join a weekly class, as well as familiarize you with the instructor. This course will teach the basics of yoga with detailed explanations, posture demonstrations, breathing techniques, hands on adjustments, and help with injuries. Everyone welcome. Some yoga mats are available for use, it is recommended to bring your own.

Shannon Wells Femenia, E-RYT500, CMT, Lifestyle Coach

Shannon has been teaching and studying in the healing arts field for 20 years. She has led numerous classes, workshops and lectures on healthy living based on the yoga tradition. In 1997, she did what she is known for by many and trail blazed the first power-based yoga styles in the Sacramento valley. Her practice began with White Lotus Flow Yoga and continued to Forrest Yoga, with world-renowned Ana Forrest. In 2000, Shannon created Free Spirit Yoga Studio, one of Sacramento’s first yoga studios, where she hosted many front-runners in the yoga world, including Ana Forrest. In 2003, she developed a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher Training Program. Many of Sacramento’s most respected yoga instructors have received their training under Shannon’s tutelage. After having her son, Shannon and her family moved to Boise, Idaho, where she currently resides, leading yoga classes and retreats.
